About me

Why I Became a Therapist

I have always wanted to help people. I remember that at the age of eight, my mother asked me who I wanted to be besides a jewellery designer (she didn’t share my childhood dreams). Even then, I already knew I wanted to support and guide others.

Later, while studying political science and working in PR, I explored communication on different important topics, like cybersecurity. But this was only the beginning — it made me realise that my true calling was to help people directly, in a more personal and meaningful way.

Education and Early Steps in My Career

My personal journey into psychology began when I started therapy myself. Progress was slow, and I didn’t notice changes immediately, but over the course of a few years, I gained a deep inner confidence: this was exactly how I wanted to help others. This clarity came around the beginning of 2021.

I researched where and how I could study psychology and counselling, and chose the Higher School of Psychology at the Russian Academy of Sciences — one of the best institutions in the field. I then pursued advanced training in integrative therapy and began working with my first clients. That first year was the hardest, as I was balancing full-time work, my studies, and clients. Over time, I gained confidence and realised it was time to move into private practice and dedicate myself fully to my true vocation — helping people strengthen their own life path and emotional resilience.

Ethical Principles and Professional Standards

It is very important to me that my practice adheres to the highest ethical standards. I am a consulting member of the Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League (OPPL), the largest association of psychologists in Russia. In my work, I follow OPPL standards for therapy and confidentiality.

Although I am not yet a member of any of the UK organisations, my approach fully aligns with the ethical standards of private practice in Europe.
