Integrative Counselling

The integrative approach combines elements from multiple psychological methods rather than focusing on a single therapeutic model.

Instead of using only one approach, a therapist can draw from different techniques and exercises, selecting the tools that best suit each client’s unique situation, needs, and personal goals. This flexible, tailored approach ensures that therapy is aligned with your individual challenges and aspirations.

Training in Integrative Therapy for Developmental Trauma

From 2022 to 2024, I trained in the integrative approach for working with developmental trauma. This is a multimodal form of psychological counselling designed for individual and group work with people who have experienced traumatic or adverse events in early childhood that affected their personality development and who wish to address the long-term effects of these experiences.

Adverse childhood experiences can include disrupted attachment and delayed separation, growing up in a dysfunctional family, physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, and other forms of early trauma.

Working through the effects of developmental trauma helps adults achieve greater psychological maturity by identifying and addressing obstacles to personal growth and healthy emotional development.
